Beginning on the farm, you’ll meet our alpacas, learn their names and personalities, and receive a short introduction on how to lead them. From there, you’ll wander along our farm track and meadows, taking in views of the Burren’s limestone folds of Mullaghmore Mountain, the open skies, and the soothing stillness that surrounds Dabrian.

Guided Walks in The Burren

At Dabrian Homestead, we offer guests the opportunity to join a guided walk in The Burren—an engaging and informative way to explore one of Ireland’s most distinctive landscapes. Led by an experienced local guide, this activity allows you to discover the region’s geology, rare wildflowers, wildlife, and rich cultural history with expert insight.
The walk follows carefully selected trails suited to most fitness levels, with a relaxed pace and plenty of time to take in the scenery or ask questions. Your guide will highlight seasonal plants, archaeological points of interest, and the unique limestone formations that make the Burren world-renowned.

Items may include farm-fresh eggs, crusty local bread, homemade granola, yoghurts, seasonal fruit, jams, honey, and fresh juice. Picnic Basket
Perfect for exploring the Burren or relaxing on the grounds, our picnic baskets feature a generous assortment of local cheeses, charcuterie, breads or crackers, chutneys, fruit, sweet treats, and bottled drinks. Everything is packed and prepared for easy transport so you can simply pick it up and go.

Traditional Irish Bread Making Workshop
A hands-on, nourishing experience at Dabrian Homestead
Our Bread Making Workshop gives guests the chance to slow down, roll up their sleeves, and learn the simple satisfaction of creating fresh, Irish soda bread. Led in a relaxed, friendly setting, this workshop covers the basics of traditional bread making—mixing, kneading, shaping, and baking—using wholesome ingredients and easy-to-follow techniques.
You’ll learn how to make from scratch, understand the role of each ingredient, and pick up tips you can confidently use at home. While the bread bakes, there’s time to chat, enjoy a warm drink, and take in the peaceful surroundings of the Homestead.
Every participant leaves with their freshly baked loaf and a printed recipe so you can recreate the experience long after your stay.
