Top Tips for Organising a Fun Filled Hen Party

Organising the Hen Party is usually the main task of the chief bridesmaid and if you’re not used to planning events a Hen party for 15-30 people can seem like a daunting task. Here are a few tips to get you started

It’s all about the list – Sit down with the bride-to-be and sort the invite list, mam’s in or out? Work colleagues yea or nay? all decisions that need to be made. Take your cue from the bride-to-be, even though its a bridesmaids job to host, it’s her celebration

Be organised – Plan the day from start to finish, from transport options to lunch location, from accommodation to night time activities. All questions will be directed to the organiser and if you have a plan from the beginning and let everyone know, you won’t feel like you’re herding cats on the day.

Money matters – Set the cost and what it includes at the beginning. Also tell everyone when each instalment needs to be paid and how. This will save messing on the day over who owes what and takes the pressure off the organisers, so the focus of the day is on the bride-to-be and having fun.

Theme? – Themed hens are always fun, but know your audience and most importantly the bride-to-be. You don’t want anyone feeling uncomfortable or sulking in the back because it’s not their thing. It’s all about fun and creating great memories.

Relax and have fun – Don’t be a drill Sargent, while it’s important to be organised, you’re also hosting a celebration so relax and fun, enjoy the champagne, and don’t forget to share your stories about the bride, the good one obviously!
